Bio

Bo Nix is an American football quarterback best known as the Denver Broncos’ first-round pick and one of the most experienced college quarterbacks in NCAA history. Born in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, and raised in a football family, Nix developed under the guidance of his father, Patrick Nix, a former Auburn quarterback and coach. He became a standout high school player in Alabama, starring at Pinson Valley High School and emerging as one of the nation’s top dual-threat quarterback recruits.

Nix began his college career at Auburn in 2019 and immediately made history as the first true freshman quarterback to start a season opener for the Tigers since 1946. He won SEC Freshman of the Year and helped lead Auburn to a memorable Iron Bowl victory over Alabama. Over three seasons with the Tigers, Nix showed toughness, mobility, and playmaking ability while competing in one of college football’s toughest conferences.

After transferring to Oregon, Nix elevated his career to a new level. In 2022 and 2023, he became one of the most efficient passers in the nation, leading a high-powered Ducks offense with accuracy, poise, and veteran command. His 2023 season was one of the best in Oregon history, as he set an NCAA single-season completion percentage record and Oregon single-season records for completions, passing yards, and passing touchdowns. He won Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year and the William V. Campbell Trophy, while also finishing as a Heisman Trophy finalist.

The Denver Broncos selected Nix with the 12th overall pick in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. As a rookie, he became Denver’s starting quarterback and quickly established himself as a franchise cornerstone. In his first NFL season, Nix started all 17 regular-season games, threw for 3,775 yards and 29 touchdowns, rushed for 430 yards and four scores, and helped lead the Broncos back to the postseason. He also set multiple Broncos rookie records, including passing touchdowns, completions, and passing yards.

Known for his accuracy, mobility, leadership, durability, and deep football background, Nix represents a new era for the Denver Broncos. His rapid development from Auburn starter to Oregon star to NFL first-round quarterback has made him one of football’s most closely watched young passers and a popular name among modern football collectors.
