Audrey Hepburn

Audrey Kathleen Ruston, known worldwide as Audrey Hepburn, remains one of the most beloved and influential stars in entertainment history. Born in Belgium and raised across Europe during the hardships of World War II, she endured wartime deprivation before pursuing her dream of becoming a ballet dancer. Although a professional ballet career proved unlikely due to the physical effects of wartime malnutrition, Hepburn turned to acting and quickly emerged as one of Hollywood’s brightest stars.

Her breakthrough came with the romantic comedy Roman Holiday (1953), in which her radiant performance as Princess Ann earned her the Academy Award for Best Actress.
